Luminous and delicate capiz shells are hand wired and mounted to a gold plated hair pin

The capiz shell is the lining of an oyster that is native to the southeast asian seas specifically the Philippines and Indonesia. The oyster meat from the mollusk is edible therefore the decorative lining is sustainable and a useful and beautiful byproduct of a food source.
